Online Productivity Tools

July 3rd, 2008  |  Published in Blog, Tips Galore  |  4 Comments

I just love smart tools that helps me work more efficiently. Especially when they are simple to use, web-based and cost-efficient, like this one:

Evernote, a very smart, simple and free online tool for powerful management of notes and clips.

Also check this video, it is the founder of Evernote doing a 52-second pitch. Run the video to the end (52 seconds) and you will see a smart “overlay menu” with other related videos. A beautiful and intuitive interface!

This is a good example that I use when evangelising companies on smart tools that increase the usefulness of online video.

Whenisgood is another smart little tool for booking meetings with several participants, and not having to mail around different dates and times until you settle on a time that suits everyone:

It is free, simple to use and requires no registration or login!

Slutligen, vill man ha en kraftfullare app, men fortfarande ha all data uppe i molnet och omedelbar, over the air, sync mellan olika devices så är detta det allra senaste:

    http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnifocus/

I guess I’m more interested in how the Evernote MD uses a video pitch. Great that he keeps it under a minute and he speaks well but he does speak a tad too fast.
I agree, this is exactly the kind of thing any company could be thinking about when describing a business idea, but imagine taking it up a level, shooting it a bit cleaner, preparing the sript a bit more so that it doesn’t sound rushed and adding a few graphics which visualize the application in use during the 52 second pitch.
Now, that would cost a bit more but just think of the impact it would have.

I agree Evernote is an awesome tool, have been using it for a while now, haven’t anything better.

Whenisgood seems to be a nice tool, will give it a try.
